Camping Trip
Sarah and I went “camping” at the goat site the other night. What I mean by camping is that we went out to the countryside and slept in a room at the site….a room with a bed : ) Does it qualify as camping if we had a campfire while we were there? We got out there and used a little mini-grill (it is actually what they use to make coffee on here) to cook our dinner. I think the meal has different names, but it was basically hamburger meat and different vegetables wrapped in tinfoil and cooked in the oven or in this case over a fire. Delicious! A couple of the site workers stayed out there with us and at the mention of being cold, we had a fire promptly started on the ground. We continued our evening with s’mores…or a version of them. We used digestive biscuits, individually wrapped Dove dark chocolates, and marshmallow fluff and I must say it was much better than the original! We ended the night by going hyena hunting, but went to bed disappointed that they had eluded us yet again!
The next morning we woke up and had coffee and one of the workers had bought some eggs. He put onions in a pan to cook them first and then right behind that came about ¼ of a cup of lard and then the eggs. It was delicious but I’m afraid it was also slightly fattening : ) The eggs here already taste like butter to me, so I usually don’t put anything in them and I was a little concerned about the large amount of fat that we consumed so needlessly.
All in all a fun night at the goat site with some delicious food! #gallery-337-1 { margin: auto; } #gallery-337-1 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-337-1 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-337-1 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
