Merry Christmas!
Well, Christmas morning has come and gone here…and you guys are all still sleeping soundly. Throughout this entire Christmas season, I have been overwhelmed and so blessed by those of you who thought of me back home. One friend sent a Christmas box complete with a Christmas tree, shatterproof ornaments, lights, fake snow, gifts to go under the tree and s’mores to eat by the fire. Another friend sent a box full of sweets that we can’t get here and lots of practical, useful, individually wrapped gifts for me to open Christmas morning. Another sent a box with absolutely wonderful, luxurious gift items that were so special to recieve. My brother and sister-in-law sent a box full of holiday foods that are part of the Murray family tradition (either ours or theirs). I received it on Christmas Eve so it was a wonderful treat to be able to have those items on Christmas Day. My other brother….well my other brother didn’t send me anything. Michael, when am I going to get my gift from you? Guess one day when you get a wife you – I mean she – will send me things for Christmas. Just kidding Michael! My mom’s group also packed and sent a box in plenty of time to make it here for Christmas…unfortunately it appears to be in outer space somewhere between America and Africa. The postman assures me it is not lost. Regardless of when it arrives, I will be so grateful to receive it and appreciative of all of the thought that went into it.
Others of you have called, emailed, sent cards, or prayed for me during this season. Regardless of the package it came in, I was so grateful for all that was sent my way and it meant the world to me that you remembered me! One thing is for sure, I have friends and family that are way better to me than I deserve! Just the fact that you thought about me this season in the midst of all that is going on means so much to me! Even though I may be far from family and friends today, I have not felt alone or forgotten. Thank you so much for your love, your thoughts, and your prayers. Hope that you have a wonderful day celebrating Christ’s birth! #gallery-632-4 { margin: auto; } #gallery-632-4 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-632-4 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-632-4 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
